RATIONAL FUNCTION
RATIONAL EQUATION
RATIONAL INEQUALITY
-A Rational function is a function of the form f(x)=p(x)/q(x) or y= p(x)/q(x), where P(x) and Q(x) are polynomial functions and Q(x) cannot be equal to zero.
-A Rational equation is the equality of two expressions in which one or more of the terms are in fractional form
-A Rational inequality is an inequality which contains a rational expression. It also includes one of the relational signs <,>,less than or equal to, or greater than or equal to.
Polynomial Function
-A Polynomial function is a function whose terms each contain a constant multiplied by a power of a variable P(x)= a'sub'0x^n +a'sub'1X^n-1+..........+a'sub'n-2X^2+a'sub'n-1X+a'sub'n is a polynomial function where a'sub'0, a'sub'1, a'sub'2,.., a'sub'n are all real numbers and n is a non-negative integer.
Polynomial
-A Polynomial is an expression that can have constant, variables and exponents, that can be combined using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, but:

*no division by a variable
*a variable's exponents can only be 0, 1, 2, 3,...etc.
*it can't have an infinite number of terms

Examples: 1.) g(x) = x^2 + x - 2
x - 3

2.) h(x)= x^2 + x + 2
x^2 - 1
